The biggest event Of Marlborough's wine-producing- process is the BMW Wine Marlborough festival. Wine lovers from all over the world come and visit the region to sample the wines. This event is held on the second Saturday in February every year on Montana's Brancott Estate. It is one of the highlights of a week of activities, including the highly successful Blues, Brews and BBQ's and Marlborough Culinary Fare. Marlborough is also host to New Zealand's first commercial fruit distillery, boutique breweries and exceptional olive producers.
